Interested in getting involved? Reach out to the Peabody Park Neighborhood Leadership Team

Social and Event Planning We organize neighborhood gatherings and community events that bring residents together, strengthen connections, and foster a sense of belonging. These activities are designed to encourage participation, celebrate our neighborhood, and build lasting relationships among neighbors.

Invasive Plant Removal in Peabody Park Our group supports efforts to remove invasive plant species from Peabody Park in order to protect native habitats and improve the overall health of the park’s ecosystem. This work helps preserve natural beauty while creating a more welcoming space for recreation and wildlife.

Wisconsin Avenue Terrace Beautification Support We collaborate with residents and partners to enhance the appearance of the Wisconsin Avenue terraces through landscaping, planting, and general beautification efforts. These improvements aim to create a more attractive streetscape and a positive first impression for the neighborhood.

Rankin Street Curve by Appvion Beautification Advocacy We advocate for beautification and safety improvements along the Rankin Street curve near Appvion. Our goal is to transform this highly visible area into a more appealing and welcoming gateway through landscaping or other creative enhancements.

Pedestrian Safety and Walking Trail Expansion We work to improve pedestrian safety throughout the neighborhood by advocating for safer crossings, traffic calming measures, and better walking conditions. In addition, we support the expansion and connectivity of walking trails to encourage outdoor activity and accessible transportation options.

Edison School Support We support Edison School through community engagement, advocacy, and collaboration with school leadership and families. This includes helping strengthen connections between the school and the neighborhood. (Primary contact: Jennie.)
